We do recommend to place door hangers under an awning or front porch to avoid any wind from blowing them off the hanger/hook and getting dented/cracked if fallen/dropped. Also please do not place them between exterior doors like a storm door. Any excessive heat will cause the PVC to warp. Because they are UV prints they should last for quite a while, but also if yard stakes are left out year round with direct sunlight, they may have a tendency to fade do to the pigments used in the inks. Lightfastness varies in different pigments and so some prints might not fade at all where others may after a year or two., so we can only guarantee a shelf life of 12 months from the purchase date to replace a faded piece. If you are wanting to extend the life of the piece, spraying a clear coating would definitely help.
